Un saludo a todos ---------------------------- Note to Administrators: Do not bother me at all not like my photo, but that's the point the button: "I do not like this photo" only brings discomfort to those who publicly show our pictures. Crapemyrtie 4

There are many species of Crapemyrtle and most of these are native to Asia. We grow two different species here in the United States. The common Crapemyrtle, Lagerstroemia indica, was introduced in 1747 and has been planted all over the South. You can find many aged trees around old home sites. Over the years there have been literally hundreds of selections named with variations of flower colors, growth habits and mature sizes -------------------- Nota para los Administradores: No me molesta en absoluto que no guste mi foto, pero que sentido tiene el boton: "I don't like this photo", solo trae malestar hacia todos los que mostramos publicamente nuestras fotografias. Cabo Creus (rocks) 3

The rocks that make up the Cap de Creus are derived from ancient metamorphic sedimentary rocks that have undergone a transformation of its mineral composition and texture, are old cambroordovicianos, formed about 500 million years and are the oldest rocks outcropping in Catalonia. These are called shale. The pegmaltites are plutonic rocks, ie come from magmas that cooled inside the Earth in about 300 million years. They consist of minerals: quartz, mica, feldspar and garnet, and in them you can see abundant accumulations tourmalines. Cabo Creus (rocks- MICA)

Mica is a mineral silicates group. Is a complex aluminum silicate, iron, calcium, magnesium and other elements in different proportions depending on the variety. There are few black or biotite, or muscovite white, green, lilac and other colors. All are characterized by an easy peeling flexible sheets, elastic, thin and bright. Crystallizes in the monoclinic system. It is isolated or part of the plutonic rocks, such as granite. Some examples of crumbs are: muscovite, biotite, phlogopite and lepidolite. The hypothesis of life between the mica layers hypothermia According developed by Helen Hansma of the University of California, Santa Barbara, life could have originated between mica peels. According to this hypothesis, structured compartments that form the mica could have sheltered molecules that would have caused the cells.

Andricus kollari

Oak marble galls develop as a chemically induced distortion of leaf buds on pedunculate oak (Quercus robur), sessile oak (Quercus petraea) or their hybrid Quercus × rosacea,[1] trees, caused by the parthenogenetic[2] gall wasp (Andricus kollari, (Hartig, 1843)) which lays eggs within leaf buds using their ovipositor. The Turkey oak (Quercus cerris), introduced into Britain in 1735, is required for the completion of the life cycle of the gall.[3] The oak marble gall is frequently confused with the oak apple gall, caused by another gall wasp, Biorhiza pallida. Oak marble galls are also known as the bullet gall, oak nut or Devonshire gall.[4] Synonyms for the species are Cynips kollari, Andricus quercusgemmae, A. hispanicus, A. minor, A. indigenus and A. circulans.
